Day three. Water fun.

We were mermaids today, spending the entire day in some sort of water. We started out at breakfast at the buffet, and the boy liked being able to choose whatever he wanted. I'm still partial to the eggs benedict at Pure.

We started in the quiet pool, which is in the Preferred Club area. We didn't make it down until around 11:30 a.m., and we were able to find a spot pretty quickly.

I will say the drinks are easier to get at this pool than the main activity pool. It was not nearly as crowded.

We then spent some time in the beach in this area. It is closest to the marina, and the waves are smaller in this area.

After a couple hours, we got hungry, so we decided to try Las Olas, which is by the activity pool. The service was pretty good. We got our beers and food pretty quickly. We had to wait a while for our second beer, but it wasn't a big deal. I didn't like the fries--they weren't cooked long enough for me. The guacamole they bring you when you sit down is delicious. The best part of the meal was dessert. It was chocolate mousse with strawberries. Yum!

Also, I don't remember reading this anywhere, but there are snack bars by both pools where you can get some quick food. We haven't tried this, but the nachos I saw looked pretty tasty.
Lunch at Las Olas.
After re-fueling, we decided to try some kayaking. It was fun, but we both said we wouldn't do it again because it was quiet the workout!

Beach in front of the Preferred Club side.
After using the boogie boards in the area by the main pool, we decided to cool down up in the pool before getting ready for dinner.

Delicious dessert.
The waves were pretty calm today.
I love dessert!
The boy loves dessert, too.
We're exhausted, but we're going to try out the sports by tonight and maybe go see the show at 9:30 p.m. One problem I did have today was getting the hot water in the shower to work. But after a few minutes it started to work. It goes back and forth between hot and cold, but it's not a big deal!  And tomorrow we're off to Xplor! I'm so excited!!!

One other thing--when we booked our excursion, I saw a sign there that said airport transfers $12. I would suggest doing your research before you book your transfer. We paid $72, and I'm beginning to think we might have over paid. Oh well! But you could save some money. ☺
