Secrets Wild Orchid.

We booked our honeymoon! I'm pretty sure it was my mom who said the name sounded like a strip club. Nope, it's a Jamaican paradise! The resort is located in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Our room is a "swim-out suite." My excitement cannot be contained.

We had more trouble with deciding where to go on our honeymoon than any other wedding-related task so far. We had such a great time at our resort in Mexico last year, we knew that another AM Resort would not disappoint. And we chose Jamaica for the sole reason that it's bigger than some of the other Caribbean islands, which means more activities.

We'll leave Sunday morning after the wedding (at 7 a.m.). Tons of people told us not to book it for Sunday or that early, but that's how it worked out. We can sleep on the plane, right?

Chicago: The middle part II.

Day three was NYE. So, let's start at the end of the night and work our way backwards.

Ciroc Party at The Drake Hotel
I personally think this party was totally worth the $155 a ticket price tag. The music was fantastic. There were four rooms to choose from. Drinks were plentiful (and so was the food--we had Burrito Beach for dinner, so I didn't partake. By the way, I don't recommend Burrito Beach unless you only eat the guacamole). And everyone was dancing! My kind of party.

The best part of the night might have been the walk home. I made a point to say "Happy New Year" to each person we passed. Sometimes, I even added "ya'll." Amazingly, every single person said something pleasant back. And we stopped for pink frosted donuts at the Dunkin' Donuts across from our hotel. Did I mention we also stopped at 7/11 for ramen-in-a- cup? Because we did.
This was at our hotel before we made the brisk walk to The Drake Hotel.
A beautiful tree in the lobby of The Drake. Yep, that's my slip hanging out. At least I wore one, right?

This was our favorite of the four ballrooms.
Party time. This was after the balloon drop.
Self portrait.
Thanks random people who totally offered to take our picture.
I didn't even ask. This was RIGHT after midnight.
Self portrait. Again.
Let's celebrate!
Museum of Science and Industry
After a long bus ride to Soldier Field, we took a taxi to the museum. Total tourists who hadn't yet figured out the bus system.  Plus, we were starving.

U-505 sub.
I fit right in.

There was another cow you could milk.
We're so much bigger now.
His veins.
Her veins.

We did a flight simulator, and we were an awesome team.
Transportation room.
Who knew?
Soldier Field Tour
When we left the hotel, we quickly realized we had no time for breakfast. Uh oh. I'm a grumpy hungry person. However, the tour was so much fun that I forgot about the fact that I was starving. That is until the second it was over and we walked around the entire stadium trying to find the bus stop. You guessed it. We decided to take a taxi to our next stop.
Our entry gate.

Help! I'm injured. I wore the wrong shoes for the football stadium.
Visitors' locker room.

Soldier boy.
I promise I didn't take as many photos on our last full day.

Chicago: The middle.

Believe it or not, ALL these pictures are from day two.

Day two's goal was to do as much as possible ... without my legs falling off. I honestly think no matter how good of shape you're in--walking around a city ALL day is tough.

Tuesday's post left off at us arriving at the Field Museum. This was my fourth favorite site seeing item on the trip. Here is my "official" ranking of the site seeing things we did. We bought a museum pass that also let us choose between the Hancock Observatory and Willis (Sears) Tower. These were $69 each. The only thing we didn't do that was part of the pass was the aquarium. We ran out of time. And I'm scared of coral.

1. Museum of Science and Industry (museum pass)
2. Tour of Soldier Field (only $15 each)
3. John Hancock Observatory (museum pass)
4. Field Museum (museum pass)
5. Millennium Park (free)
6. Art Institute (we went on the free night, which is Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.)
7. Navy Pier (free)
8. Adler Planetarium (museum pass)

I'm not counting things that we randomly saw while walking around. Just the "official" stuff, you know.
The Field Museum is a beautiful, old building. And it's HUGE!

This is actually when we were leaving, but who's counting?

Luckily, I was able to return to my original size. Darn.

Eww! Adam was not a fan of this area. He totally ran from the spiders.

My best lion impression, which is pretty terrible.

Sue just celebrated her 10 year anniversary at the museum!

This is terrifying to me.

Surprise!

I don't know why this is upside down, and I can't change it.

As you can tell, I was freezing!

Doesn't she know how cold it is? Maybe her socks have heaters.

I used Kant in my undergrad thesis a lot, so I of course had to take this photo.

It looks like we are in front of a fake background. Not true!

Stairs at the Art Institute. I'm honestly not sure what this was.

We really only saw the major paintings because it was so crowded, and we were tired.

Had to get a picture of the boy in front of the stock exchange room.
The Art Institute moved the original room, and it's gorgeous.

The lions outside the Art Institute. So glad they dressed up for the occasion.

This is one of the Macy's on State Street window displays.

Another Macy's window display. I loved the fireplace.
