Stoplights...

I don't have to drive on an interstate to work, and most days I am thankful for that. However, this morning, I was irritated. I'm not sure why, but I was. So, I counted the stoplights on my way to see just how many annoying lights I have to deal with every. single. day. 17. I go through (mostly stop) at 17 stoplights every single weekday morning. That's a lot, right?


Did you know stoplights are red, yellow, and green because traffic officials early on copied the code system railroad engineers devised for track systems controlling the trains?
