The news I've been waiting for: Verizon iPhone.

Folks, it's true. You've heard the rumors for years. But now those of us who haven't crossed over to the world of AT&T can finally have an iPhone!

I've had a Droid for 1.5 years. It's OK. But I've always coveted the boy's iPhone (especially his new iPhone 4). Yes, I'm totally jealous. It's an iPhone world, and Droid will just never compare. I'm sorry, but it's true. At least that's my unprofessional opinion.

You can pre-order starting Feb. 3, and the phone goes on sale Feb. 10. I'm going to hold out (cracked screen and all) for a little longer, but I'm still beyond excited to know that it's now an option for me to keep my beloved Verizon phone number, discount and get an iPhone. You see, I've had the same number since I was 15. Now, I live in a different area code. So, if I switched providers, they would make me get a phone number with my current area code. No thanks.

While I'm still disappointed that "snow days" are no longer a part of my life, this news brings a little sunshine to my day.

Check out the 411 here.
