Feel the Burn

The post title (Feel the Burn) had a double meaning for me yesterday, and I'm not sure which one was more painful.

Burn #1
First, part of boot camp consisted of doing walking lunges for eight minutes. EIGHT! No break. Needless to say, as our final exercise consisted of walking lunges followed by sprints, I thought I might die. Seriously.

Burn #2
So, when I got home and could barely walk, I got ready like normal. After getting out of the shower, I noticed I had some mascara under my eyes (residue from the previous day). No, I don't put mascara on for boot camp--although I'm not sure that would not surprise anyone. So, I opened the cabinet and put my "eye makeup remover" on the cotton ball. As I placed the cotton on my eye, there was immediate burning. I quickly splashed water on my face after realizing it was nail polish remover. You see, I had used it the night before and placed it in the cabinet right beside the eye makeup remover. Not smart for someone who has a tendency to rush through things.

Conclusion
Initially, burn #2 was far more painful, but burn #1 is lingering. So, it wins (or loses I suppose). However, I'm happy to note that I can still walk, and my vision has not been permanently affected. Happy Friday!!!
